Reggie Ahrens
I was drawn to the con-cept of CIDA; in 2001 I registered as a 1st year student
with CIDA, my experience of CIDA was an enthralling adventure. The campus provided us
with seminar style work-shops with some of the more prominent men and women in the
South African business world.
In my second year of the ICT Academy I joined the SAP Stream as my specialisation;
it was an interesting two years. ICT Academy in 2005 as SAP End User; I received an
opportunity to join the T-Systems apprenticeship programme in 2006.
I’m currently working at T-Systems as a Time Management Consultant in the Systems
Integration division

The SAP stream has updated the SAP End User certificate course to include
new solutions from SAP. The ICT Academy has begun to offer the Business
One course to our students which will equip them with skills needed to help
Small Business Enterprises and larger companies to manage and operate their
business practices.

CISCO:
Stream
On the 9th of July, Gloria Kubeka and Elias Tlou were part of the 3 person team representing
South Africa in the CISCO NetRiders Challenge. The Competition was held concurrently in 35
EMEA coun-tries such as the UK and France with the top 10 winning participants qualifying
for an all expenses trip to the headquarters of Cisco Sys-tems, USA. Our S.A. Trio stood
their ground and were awarded certificates for their valued participation.
The career opportunities in the Cisco field are looking very promising!
