In 2004, Malea won the National Microsoft Word competition and went over to represent the country for the second round in France, Paris. This young lady was still in the foundation year then.Malea is completing her SUN Java Web Components Developer course at the Academy.
Also in 2004, Earl Theys won the Microsoft Excel competition where he also went to France along side Malea. Mr. Earl Theys is one of the first graduating students of the ICT Academy and now works at the Academy as the CISCO stream coordinator and Training Officer.
This event took place at the Academy, where over 200 attendants were present. This was the second graduating class of the ICT Academy; there has been two more afterwards.
Six of the first ICT Academy students were invited to participate in cross-continental seminar in Germany where they represented the African Continent with many other students from prominent countries in the continent.
