The Academy
To-Date
In August 2004, the ICT Academy awarded its first 117 students with IT
Technician Learnership Level 4 certificates. In January 2006 the certification
ceremony saw a record 177 ICT Academy students certified. Approximately
40% of the graduates were female, a positive step towards overcoming the
gender imbalance in the ICT industry.
Over the years, the academy has graduated a number of individuals; now
employed in companies like T-Systems, SAP, Dimension Data, some government
departments, and many more highly recognised organisations in the country
and abroad. Take a look at our track record over the past five years.

Our Graduates
And the world
Graduates already in full-time jobs have entered the economy earning starting
salaries generally between R60 000 and R120 000 a year. Most of these graduates
are earning in one year what their families have not earned in a lifetime.
They will generate between R800 million and R2 billion in income over the
course of their working careers – this is 100 times more than the cost of
the investment in their education.
Proudly
South African
The ICT Academy is a truly and proudly South African initiative pioneered
by T-Systems SA and other stakeholders.
