The time is now:

About
Ms Ramphele

I was born and raised in Soweto in the biggest hospital in Southern hemisphere, formerly known as Baragwanath. I did my schooling in Johannesburg, (primary to high school). My hobbies are: travelling, reading, cooking and movies.

Academic
Background

Cape Town was my dream place to be at that time, so I applied (1993) to Cape Technikon were I completed my National Diploma in Library and Information Practice in 1997 while doing my internship at the Botanical Garden for a year and moved to UCT Medical Library in 1998. Home sweet home was calling me; I resigned and left for the city of gold (Jo'burg).

For the love
of Jo'Burg

Returned to Cape Town for six months, were I was working as an Executive Assistance at Sandulela Investment Holdings. My aim was to pursue a career in Library but due to me being impatient in getting a job as a Librarian, I applied for a job as a Marketing Researcher at a company called AC Nielsen in Ormonde (1999 – 2003 Jan). I guess my fate brought me back to Johannesburg where I joined Quest recruitment agency and they connected me with CIDA ICT Academy in 2003 in October.

On the
Academy

I was recruited as the Learnership Administrator. My job entails academy’s administration, Pearson VUE exam administrator, workplace rotations, reception, secretary to OPS and EXCO meetings, events coordinator. This project is dear to me as it increases the economy of South Africa, and that’s the reason the academy personnel is committed to educate and make our students employable in the world of IT. The ICT Academy’s vision is to have employable graduates. ICT Academy is going forward and will be competing with other IT institutions out there.
